Setting Up Using A Computer
First, install the Fitbit Connect if you set up your Surge using a computer. Fitbit Connect app will help your Surge to sync with your Fitbit official site dashboard so you can see your data, registered food, and further. You computer should be Mac OS 10.6 or later, or Windows Vista or later, and has Internet Connection and USB port. To download Fitbit Connect, go to the page, choose your computer type and then click the Download button.
Installing Fitbit Connect
Connect the wireless sync dongle and keep your tracker close, switched on, and charged. Install the file you have downloaded before. Follow the step-by-step instructions on the screen and complete the process. Now it is time to sync tracker with your computer. Once Fitbit Connect is installed, the data on your Surge will be synchronized to your dashboard wirelessly and automatically but make sure your Surge has new fitness data to transfer and is close to your computer. Make sure your computer is turned on, up, and has Internet connection. You need to plug the wireless sync dongle into the computer’s USB port and is detected by your computer.
